The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is a civil rights organization that was founded in 1909 to fight against racial discrimination and segregation in the United States. Being a member of the NAACP means joining a network of activists who are committed to fighting against systemic racism, injustice, and inequality. Members of the NAACP work towards ensuring that the Black community thrives in every aspect including education, economics, health, and wellbeing, and racial justice. The organization provides various membership options, including annual and lifetime memberships, and offers access to special perks and programs. 

Take your advocacy one step further. As a member of the NAACP, you're making it your personal goal to ensure that our community thrives in every aspect including education, economics, health and wellbeing, and racial justice. Thriving in the NAACP looks like:

• Providing scholarships for students.
• Fueling local volunteers who drive culture and change in our community.
• Working with activists and organizers in local NAACP branches
• Organizing marches, rallies, and direct-action campaigns to bring      attention to local issues.
• Supporting access to quality education, healthcare, economic      opportunities
• Participating in voter registration and get-out-the-vote campaigns.
• Attending national events, regional conferences, and training to      sharpen your advocacy and leadership skills.
• Amplifying the voice of All Americans to make sure solutions to      our most pressing issues are equitable.
